We do this primarily by holding, for time, slow floor based postures and imperatively “rebounding” afterward.

This class is strongly influenced by my most recent trainings & continuing education.

Yin yoga, via the gentle application of tension & compression supports a healthy stimulation of the connective tissue and in particular encourages healthy structural shifts to the fascial matrix, more simply it is a practice to decompress the joints. We do this primarily by holding, for time, slow floor based postures and imperatively “rebounding” afterward. It is a functional practice and so the aesthetic of the shape is not of importance.

The utilisation of props is paramount here. Bolsters, blocks, straps and various shaped balls for myofascial release. The practice encourages you to drop into your own feeling space and relax into any discomfort that may arise whilst recognising and trusting your edge point. We arrive without force and by surrendering our attachment of the need to push further and achieve more.

The class is further complimented with an extended meditation or yoga nidra (a guided awareness practice).
